Your paying for mostly foam padding.The heating element has no thermostat, and its to small for the ex lg bed.Would not recomend for any dog bigger than a chiwawa.I think the advertisements need to be more descriptive

my friend that i bought this heated mattress for says that the feral cats are slowly learning it is there and it is warm, and thank you, because we needed one big enough for 4 cats.
